Life experience that prpard them to work with diverse individuals

Experience service of some kind to community/organization/group. Second is to have experience of some kind family/volunteer etc..or exposure to the health care field. ATTRIBUTES integrity is huge and leadership experience ACADEMIC - grade trends and include writing ability

work experience: working in a team environment, serving others, following social norms/protocol, work ethic, meeting professional expectations.

1. What requirements do they have to complete to get an advance practice degree after this and how long would it take them if they attended Rush?

2. Do they exit with a BSN or just the MSN? When do they take NCLEX and are they able to do this before they complete the MSN?

Why not exit with an advanced practice degree? What do you feel are the concerns related to this?

Does the GEM cover both BSN and MSN Essentials?

Was there significantly more funding for master's entry students (scholarships)?

How long is the GEM program?

How do you handle the final leadership practicum experiences that are generally required in these programs

Was it challenging integrating MSN and undergraduate faculty for this program or did you?

are the clinical partners hiring them for bedside positions, how are they being used.? What positions are they being hired into?

The graduates then complete a Post-graduate certificate to become APRN's? (FNP, PNP, AGNP, etc.)

Or do they go to advance practice DNP programs?

Margie, it's for higher education, not specific to nursing

Can we ask Dr. Rosenberg to address how they incorporated holistic admissions into the master's entry program and do they have one process across the MSN and DNP program?

Has the master's entry increased their ability to have a more diverse cohort?

Vernell, in our breakout group, we commented that we liked talking through the application with our colleagues. in our current process, we review and rate applications individually and only discuss an individual candidate if discrepancies exist between reviewers. Any advice on how to do this in a more collective, or group manner?
